Okay……. Still feel uncomfortable sitting in the same room with one of these.. kidding (yes)…. This trilogy started out with the perfect ingredients and I’m talking about the fattening ones. The ones that you start eating and before you know they are mostly gone. Well that was the first book for me. We had a girl (Alina) that was basically a nobody that GASP,,,, has the strongest powers like EVER. And there’s a boy (Mal) she’s always known that basically has never noticed her other than in a friend way. And then a powerful dark and luminous man (the darkling) that has his eyes for only her and her power.
See? That is a basic but a gosh darn good storyline. Yeah book two went to sh*t like new moon Edward dips out sh*t and you’re stuck with a book about pointless SH*T…. Okay now tell me do you think I should seek counseling over what Stephenie Meyer did to me??
I was holding on through book 2 with hopes and dreams of answers and blissful happiness in book 3. Well I got about halfway through book 3 and realized this is real my nightmare is happening to me!!
⚠️STOP SPOILER WARNING IF YOU CONTINUE⚠️
The MC never ends up with the boy from home DAMNIT. She ends up with the dark and brooding man that wanted her from the start!! We don’t have time for no podunk nobody!! Okay that’s not fair I did like Mal, but not like in the way where I wanted them to be forever!! And then they killed him they killed the darkling and then Alina and Mal ran off into the sunset with no powers living a normal life??? DUMB. She had such an incredible character build up and it was all flushed down the drain…. We can’t accept mediocre endings ladies! We just can’t!!!
⚠️SPOILER ALERT ENDED⚠️
Okay ANYWAYS….. I really did love how this author described the world of grisha and I think that’s why I finished these bad boys. Now I understand I might be being a brat for not being happy I didn’t get the ending I wanted but hey that’s show biz baby!!! BRB going to start six of crows now.
Let’s get a few things straight. No beating around anyone’s bush –> straight to the factttsss. This blog will only consist of posts that I will immediately regret after posting due to the fact that I have no business having any type of opinion on absolutely anything.. Also if you are hoping to read some genius interpretation of some of the finest literature please do both of us a favor and just block me, or whatever you do on WordPress to completely erase the risk of you reading my trash reviews that will make you instantly hate me and want to tell me why.
Also if you haven’t noticed…. I am not a writer, and I usually never reread anything. (Or am I just that bad at English that I can’t form a correct sentence?) So if bad punctuation and incorrect use of words drives you crazy please join the people who already hate me because I am a disgrace to book bloggers everywhere.
This is my little oasis where I can drink my wine, probably get a little too tipsy and post my reviews about the books that I am usually too embarrassed to openly say I am reading. (Why do I still love young teen love, gross)
Okay now if you are a visual person and want to know what kind of blog this is. Picture a trashcan on fire. No further explanation needed.
