Uhm hi? What year is it? Okay so I am a Kindle loving hobag and after the Plated Prisoner Series I have been searching for a Fantasy romance. But I wanted it on KU because I don’t want to spend money while in the process of buying another house :,) ANYWAYS…… I saw this series was offered to be read in full which I was like great… I don’t have to go through the hassle of downloading each book…. Yeah when I first started reading it said I had 38hrs of reading to go…. I died on the inside but pushed through. So that’s where I have been!!!
This series follows a library apprentice named Vhalla. She works in the imperial palace where the smoke show Aldrik lives as well… And yes he’s the Emperor’s son aka current crowned Prince. Well he’s a mystery all in it’s self and is also a sorcerer of fire. He takes interest in Vhalla quickly due to her current awakening of her own sorcery which is windwalker. This world is made up simply of the north, east, west and south. Each having normal people and also people who have the power of earth, water, wind, and fire. While all of these are mostly normal there hasn’t been a windwalker in years due to them all being killed off in a previous war. So once Vhalla was discovered she was immediately used as a tool for the current war against the North. Throughout the 5 books we see Vhalla finding herself while also trying to navigate her relationship with a dark prince.
This book will make your blood boil… FYI. Also so much death….. like I felt like I was in the war too because how common it was for main people to just die…. It got somewhat aggravating at times. Also if you’ve read this please tell me I’m not the only person who grew to be always annoyed with Vhalla….. I somewhat regret not breaking down this series with reviews because so much information… So many thoughts. I enjoyed this book because it didn’t just focus on the romance side it had a lot of relationships and moving parts to it. But not so much that it was information overload. The only reason it didn’t get a perfect score was simply because I struggled with finishing. Sometimes it felt like there was too much fluff and not enough action or drama…. But this book does hold a special place in my heart… If you’re wanting to read a spicy book this isn’t for you. While it is a slow burn with butterflies it never gets dirty. Definitely a YA but it was written so well it didn’t feel like it lacked because of that!! Also must I say it?? Daniel deserved better!!
Let’s get a few things straight. No beating around anyone’s bush –> straight to the factttsss. This blog will only consist of posts that I will immediately regret after posting due to the fact that I have no business having any type of opinion on absolutely anything.. Also if you are hoping to read some genius interpretation of some of the finest literature please do both of us a favor and just block me, or whatever you do on WordPress to completely erase the risk of you reading my trash reviews that will make you instantly hate me and want to tell me why.
Also if you haven’t noticed…. I am not a writer, and I usually never reread anything. (Or am I just that bad at English that I can’t form a correct sentence?) So if bad punctuation and incorrect use of words drives you crazy please join the people who already hate me because I am a disgrace to book bloggers everywhere.
This is my little oasis where I can drink my wine, probably get a little too tipsy and post my reviews about the books that I am usually too embarrassed to openly say I am reading. (Why do I still love young teen love, gross)
Okay now if you are a visual person and want to know what kind of blog this is. Picture a trashcan on fire. No further explanation needed.
