Lucas. Obviously freaking Lucas. Am I getting overly involved with these characters? Yes in the sense where I want what’s best for my Kylie gal pal! So with the first two books they were combined into one book so it feels weird that I am doing two separate reviews because like it felt like one book… Okay I am over it, lets dive in.
WOW. Okay this is the part where I am going to try and type out how this book makes me feel without knowing what I am doing. This book is heartwarming?? Homelike feeling?? Just purely makes me happy?? I just love when a YA is written and thought out with strong characters who have actual fully developed personas. I feel like with YA most of the time is written by someone who doesn’t understand teenagers and makes it so cringe. Like I know when I was younger I was cringe but I feel like when I was 16+ a lot of that faded out and I somewhat resembled a person you would want to have a conversation with. Kylie is mature, she is well thought out and she has such a “I want to know you” personality.
Okay anyways,,, this book follows Kylie as she continues to figure herself out and what she wants and doesn’t want. I also have now noticed that there may be a new ghost she has to decipher every book? Which I love because it is kind of like a mystery that slowly unravels on top everything else going on. I like feeling mentally busy when reading! And also fool me once shame on me, fool me twice wow you have my attention. I really am taken by surprise by a lot of things! So not every part of this book is predictable and I really enjoy that in an YA.
Okay now, the reason it got a 4/5 and not a 5/5. Now we all know I ain’t no snitch so I am not going to give anything away. But let’s just say a big event happens at the end of this book like the part of the book where you feel like everything major should be done and you should be winding down. And NO it isn’t really left with a cliffhanger that you would have expected. It is kind of temporarily fixed pretty quick. Like sister… why you pushing on that much gas and not letting us enjoy the drama a little more… Like that was too much to be done that quick and I don’t feel it was done as good as it could have been. But I am assuming it is going to be TBC… Idk you will have to read it and see what I am talking about!
Overall if you are wanting an YA series then this is for you babes. So well thought out so dadGUM good!
xoxo, your trashy spooky blogger
Let’s get a few things straight. No beating around anyone’s bush –> straight to the factttsss. This blog will only consist of posts that I will immediately regret after posting due to the fact that I have no business having any type of opinion on absolutely anything.. Also if you are hoping to read some genius interpretation of some of the finest literature please do both of us a favor and just block me, or whatever you do on WordPress to completely erase the risk of you reading my trash reviews that will make you instantly hate me and want to tell me why.
Also if you haven’t noticed…. I am not a writer, and I usually never reread anything. (Or am I just that bad at English that I can’t form a correct sentence?) So if bad punctuation and incorrect use of words drives you crazy please join the people who already hate me because I am a disgrace to book bloggers everywhere.
This is my little oasis where I can drink my wine, probably get a little too tipsy and post my reviews about the books that I am usually too embarrassed to openly say I am reading. (Why do I still love young teen love, gross)
Okay now if you are a visual person and want to know what kind of blog this is. Picture a trashcan on fire. No further explanation needed.
