Book: The Hating Game | Author: Sally Thorne | Genre: Romance; Fiction | Rating: 3/5
Oh the notorious workplace love story. Do they start out hating each other? OF COURSE THEY DO. Do you even have to ask? This is literature people and we stick with the status quo! *Cue HS musical cafeteria performance*
Okay but this book was super cute and I did shamefully enjoy it. Was it the most predictable thing ever? Yes.. But as a person who loves reality TV I am comfortable with this lifestyle. Okay but this book follows two employees named Sophie and Joshua and of course they both sit across from each other? I mean how else would we have it? Do they make a bet and then.. *Gasp* accidentally fall in love with each other.. Is he troubled and brooding from his deep heart wrenching Daddy issues? Or maybe can they turn these issues into something that could possible fix a broken family. *audience cries* Okay will this book make most people gag, YES. But do we appreciate a good gag every once in a while, most definitely!!
Does one of the main characters have a weird thing for smurf collectibles.. Uncomfortably yes. Besides the weird smurf thing my only other complaint is I hate when books just end. Like you feel like the author took too much time on the entire book but then realized it was getting late and just rushed to wrap it up leaving a lot of loose ends.. Like why even make all of these storylines to just not finish them. What.. Is.. The.. Point SALLY… No but I enjoyed this book and yes I love Lifetime and Hallmark movies. So I will let you be the judge of that.
xoxo, your trashy blogger 😛
Let’s get a few things straight. No beating around anyone’s bush –> straight to the factttsss. This blog will only consist of posts that I will immediately regret after posting due to the fact that I have no business having any type of opinion on absolutely anything.. Also if you are hoping to read some genius interpretation of some of the finest literature please do both of us a favor and just block me, or whatever you do on WordPress to completely erase the risk of you reading my trash reviews that will make you instantly hate me and want to tell me why.
Also if you haven’t noticed…. I am not a writer, and I usually never reread anything. (Or am I just that bad at English that I can’t form a correct sentence?) So if bad punctuation and incorrect use of words drives you crazy please join the people who already hate me because I am a disgrace to book bloggers everywhere.
This is my little oasis where I can drink my wine, probably get a little too tipsy and post my reviews about the books that I am usually too embarrassed to openly say I am reading. (Why do I still love young teen love, gross)
Okay now if you are a visual person and want to know what kind of blog this is. Picture a trashcan on fire. No further explanation needed.
